Extension of the water supply network and establishment of centralized sewerage system

A new success story of Valrom Industrie with the completion of the first 2 vacuum sewerage systems, realized by the company, in the Moldova region.

The project involved the extension of the water supply network and the setting up of a centralized sewerage system in the villages of Grozești, Sălăgeni and Colțu Cornii in Grozești commune, Iasi county. Project financed by PNDL.

The two systems are located in Grozești and Colțu Cornii, a locality in the Prut river meadow, located on almost flat terrain. The construction of a traditional (gravity) sewerage system would have required very deep laying depths for the pipes and more than 20 sewage pumping stations.

For the two stations, 130 vacuum tanks with 14 km of polyethylene collecting pipe networks were installed. These will collect sewage from about 400 households.
